The little black business books

Wouldn’t it be lovely if you could pick up a self-help book which would take you by the hand and ease you gently along the rainbow to the pot of business success hidden at the end? Well, don’t get excited – you can’t!

Why? Because the route each of us takes to success is as individual as we are and what works brilliantly for one person, might well fall flat on its face for another. There’s no one-size-fits-all-solution and for every question there are a whole heap of different answers dependent on any number of variable factors, most important of which is you.

However, you may warm to some tell-it-straight style of business books which throw into the mix different ideas, suggestions and approaches, don’t make promises that can’t be kept and certainly don’t try to kid you that making lots of money is as easy as falling off a log.

They do however contain some:

  • Practical steps and suggestions
  • Ideas and initiatives
  • Inspiration and incentives
  • Suggestions to help you prioritise and get you thinking
  • Reasons for trusting your own sound common sense and business instincts.

It can sometimes feel as if things are getting you down, business-wise.
